The first native to greet the settlers at New Plymouth was Samoset who spoke perfect English, saying, "Welcome."
The Mohawk Conflict
The Mohawk began raiding parties into Massachuset territories in the 1660s that led Wampatuck to lead an expedition of warriors against them.
Some of King Philip's War battles
King Philip's body was quartered and his head was stuck on a gibbet (an upright post with a crosspiece) at New Plymouth as a warning to the natives.
